So, does anyone know any other solutions to this problem? (there were a lot more problems with start-up crash, so didn't get many answers on this one).

I tried reinstalling the game, verifying the cache, disabling the GPU decode and excluding the civ file from Windows Defender stuff, running it in WIN7 and WIN8 compatibility modes, that's what's coming from the top of my head. So, the game worked fine on Windows 7, and since the upgrade to Windows 10, it crashes as it hits the loading screen right on start up.

Now, my PC is not really a high-end one (i5-6400, AMD R7 360 2GB, 8GB RAM), so I try to limit my mods to the few that I use the most (Future Worlds, No unhapiness mods, Slower science longer eras - I tried with and without this one, without it it lasted fewer turns, so I don't think it is a problem, JFD's Mercenaries and a map mod (now using Teutonic Map Script, as the other ones, which are bigger, crash at the start) ), but I think it should be able to handle that much, seeing as my old 750Ti could go the whole game with 30+ mods. When I reload the last save, it crashes on the same turn, again without any messages. Then depends on the number of civs I guess, in 20-50 turns (tested in MANY games, had different results, but the longest one was 47 turns) it just crashes without any messages. The game usually starts well (although I had a few instances, of when I loaded big maps like YnAEMP, it crashing before you can start the game). I know this is supposed to be a common problem and it has many fixes, but I tried most of them (if not every one of them, though I doubt it), but I still can't fix it.

I've already tried disabling leader heads in my config.ini (didn't fix it), and I've tried to verify the integrity of game cache in Steam (6 files failed to verify and was reaquired, but still didn't fix it), and I've made sure I have the latest GeForce drivers (350.12) and DirectX version.New Frontier Pass | April 2021 Update: Bug Reports Megathread

Therefore, in this guide, we intend to show you how to resolve the CIV VI constantly crashes at startup issue. Some users cannot get the game to play at all since the application crashes at startup, while others only experience problems during gameplay.

Now, a crash while loading a game from within a game could be caused by insufficient RAM I suppose, but that shouldn't matter when exiting the game, right? Civilization 6 crashes on Windows 10 devices are all too common. I have tried verifying the games cache, doing a clean install, reinstalling my Nvidia drivers, running in Windows 7 compatibility mode, launching it with administrator privileges, and still it crashes either on or before the initial loading screen. So that makes it hard to blame everything on the mods. However Civilization V is consistently crashing and I don't know what else I can do. The strange thing is that the same crash also happens every single time I load a game from within another game, AND every single time I click "Exit to Main Menu" or "Exit to Windows". This makes me suspect buggy mods are at least part of the cause. I'm also running some mods from the Battle Royale collection. The crash usually happens during the early parts of the game, while I still have civilizations left to discover. I've now had several games that suddenly crash while processing a specific turn (same turn every time).
